A BIT OF BACKGROUND
ALLUVIUM [noun]: Deposits of clay, silt, gravel, or sand by a body of water, increasing the size of a piece of land and thus its value over time.
This whole thing actually started back in 2003, when at 11 years old I decided to begin selling my tiny artworks out of my school locker. Long story short, they sold like hotcakes, and after not much time at all that locker was overflowing with quarters. Yes, mountains of the clunky, jingling change I charged. Now I’ve got over a decade of experience working with polymer clays under my belt, so fast forward… it’s time to step things up a bit, no?
Formerly "Sculpey Stuff" (I didn’t exactly understand copyrights back then, hehe), I have chosen the term "Alluvium" to describe my handcrafted pieces because, as the word implies, each started as mere bits of clay that ultimately will come together in order to produce something new—something bigger, better, something with more value.
ABOUT
Being that this ("Alluvium") was involved in how the world was formed, mimicking the process plus taking advantage of great materials like the ones I use (which also include metals and crystals) allows for endless possibilities. Each tiny creation is made with extensive individualized care and thus ample time is given to every detail before finally being baked to perfection. And here, no one finished product will be exactly the same as another, ensuring true customization.
WHY US
Well, you have probably heard of many other charm bracelet brands. As great as those are, the most popular ones still do not offer the utmost personalization. You cannot always get exactly what you want by picking from a limited selection of pre-made options. At Alluvium, it’s all up to you. You want your favorite sports team in a specific color? Done. You want your initials, on your favorite animal, and sequins for eyes? No problem. If you can dream it up, we can make it. (Fun fact: we soon plan to expand to making magnets, keychains, earrings, erasers and more!)
